Gather GVL is a very cool spot in downtown Greenville.
It is a multitude of food and beverage businesses all set up in shipping containers around a huge courtyard with covered and uncovered tables, a band stage, a fire pit, heaters, and games for kids.
Also, there is a second floor with additional seating and a TV.
It is a great place to go and try many different foods and drinks in a party-like atmosphere.
One of my favorite offerings is Mike’s Cheesesteak and Roast Pork, which is hands down the best cheesesteak in the Southeast.
The Mexican selections from Mercado Cantina are awesome too.
The Mexi-Dog is off the hook good which is an all-beef hot dog wrapped in bacon with griddled onions, mayo, mustard, ketchup and jalapenos on top.
Freshly made Acai bowl from Cocobowlz GVL is fantastic and makes for a great afternoon snack or dessert. Hendough serves breakfast with homemade donuts and biscuits and at lunch it is all about the chicken sandwich.
Yolo Pizza Kitchen has good looking pizza and ice cream and floats for pure fun!
The 05 Express Kitchen serves some great sandwiches and salads including a brussel sprout salad and a fried shrimp po-boy which is overflowing with shrimp.
Mama Mozzarella is the newest addition with great subs and fried cheese! Need I say more?
Other dining options which I have not tried yet, but plan to include KO Burgers, Resident Diner Express, Saki Saki, and The Lob Father.
For adult beverage options there is Greenville Beer Exchange with 20 rotating taps of craft beers and Juice Box Wine Bar with glasses of wine and Frose’ slushies!
Gather GVL is another must go to in downtown and I am sure it will become a regular stop for you as it has for me. Go hungry and enjoy!
